I also documented the steps involved:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Copy phpBB2 directory to web site root or target directory<\/li>\n<li>Create MySQL database phpbb<\/li>\n<li>Create database user phpbb<\/li>\n<li>Assign phpbb database privileges to phpbb user<\/li>\n<li>Browse to \/phpBB2\/install\/install.php<\/li>\n<li>Select MySQL 4.x\/5.x<\/li>\n<li>Download config.php file<\/li>\n<li>Replace config.php file in phpBB2 root directory<\/li>\n<li>Delete install\/ and contrib\/ directories<\/li>\n<li>Go to home page \/phpBB2\/index.php<\/li>\n<li>Log in as Administrator<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Next I will learn how to customize the phpBB design and add a link back to the web site.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have successfully installed phpBB 2.0.21 on the Car Accessories web site.
